Why does autoplay not work in my YouTube embed?
Most browsers only allow autoplay when the player is muted, and some block it entirely on mobile or in low-power mode. The generator turns mute on when you enable autoplay, and the embed still shows the player paused wherever the browser refuses to start.
How does the loop option work for a single video?
YouTube only repeats one video when loop=1 is combined with playlist set to the same video ID. The generator adds both parameters automatically, which is the step usually missed when an embed is written by hand.
What does rel=0 actually do on an embed?
rel=0 asks YouTube to keep end-screen suggestions to the same channel instead of showing unrelated videos. Since 2018 it no longer removes all recommendations, so it reduces but does not eliminate suggested content.
What is privacy-enhanced mode on YouTube embeds?
It swaps youtube.com for youtube-nocookie.com in the iframe URL. The player still loads from YouTube, but cookies for the video are usually not set until the viewer presses play, which helps pages that show a cookie consent banner.
Why is the copied iframe fixed at 560 × 315?
That is the standard desktop iframe size recommended in YouTube's embed documentation. For responsive pages keep the responsive wrapper option instead, which preserves a 16:9 shape at any container width.
Does this tool download YouTube videos?
No. It only builds the official embed player URL and iframe HTML. There is no video or audio download, and the video is streamed by YouTube when a viewer loads the page.
Can I embed any public YouTube video?
The embed player works for public videos whose owner has not disabled embedding, but some videos have embedding turned off. If the preview shows an error or says the video is unavailable, the owner has restricted it and no iframe will work on your site.
Why does the generated URL include playlist when loop is on?
YouTube uses playlist to know what to play next. For a single-video loop the video ID is repeated as a one-item playlist; without it, loop=1 has no effect. It does not create a playlist or change the video.
Does the embed generator store my video or settings?
No. The URL is built in your browser from the options you choose, and nothing is uploaded or saved. Only the live preview iframe and any player you embed contact YouTube.
